Charlie Ross

The founder of the firm and leader of our team is Charlie Ross, bringing over 20 years of experience in the Canadian real estate development market. Charlie has worked with the majority of real estate Lenders and Developers in the GTA and across the country, both as an independent consultant with other prominent Ontario quantity surveying fi rms and as the in-house cost consultant for a major developer. These positions provided valuable insight to the inner workings of a major development firm, allowed interaction with several of the premier residential trade contractors and provided a rounding of experience unmatched in the industry today.

Mr. Ross graduated from Glasgow Caledonian University with B.Sc in Quantity Surveying and is a Fellow of the. Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (FRICS); and a Member of the Canadian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (CIQS), and the Ontario Institute of Quantity Surveyors (OIQS) and The Association of Ontario Land Economists.

Morgan Hynes
Senior Associate

Mr. Hynes has a BSC (Hons) in Construction Management and Engineering. He has been with CB Ross for almost 10 years and is now an Associate with the firm. Mr. Hynes has cost planning and project monitoring experience however over the last 6 – 7 years his specialist area is project monitoring. In that field he has experience working on a large variety of projects within various sectors of the industry, including: Residential – Low Rise, High Rise, Affordable Housing; Commercial Retail and Mixed Use; Institutions; Government Buildings, Infrastructure including Highways, Bridges and Heavy Civils. Morgan provides services mainly in the GTA however his portfolio expands to several other provinces as well as northern Ontario.

As an Associate of the firm, Mr. Hynes is responsible for new commissions, project lead for existing commissions and part of the senior management of the firm.

Jeff Claus
Senior Cost Consultant

Jeff returns to CB Ross after spending time working with a leading Developer in the Toronto area. Jeff brings with him both a wealth of Project Monitoring experience to CB Ross, having worked for 10 of his 13 years in the Construction Industry as a Project Monitor, as well as a unique perspective on the issues that drive Developers in the industry. Jeff’s experience spans multiple types of projects, including residential, commercial / retail, and servicing. He also has extensive local knowledge in both the Southern and Eastern Ontario markets.
In addition to his breadth of knowledge, Jeff brings passion and dedication to his clients. While he is detail-oriented, he never loses sight of the big picture and what drives his clients needs. Jeff’s enthusiasm for his work and his clients makes him a welcome addition to any team.
Jeff is actively working towards his PQS designation.

Klancy Marbella
Senior Cost Consultant

Klancy holds a Civil Engineering Technology Diploma from George Brown College and has 3.5 years of experience in the Canadian construction industry.

Her responsibilities include primarily Project Monitoring and Project Budget Analysis/Feasibility.

Klancy’s experience in loan monitoring covers mainly the private sector, working with developers and lenders, reviewing project costs and budgets in a wide variety of projects including:

  • low and high-rise residential
  • condominium and freehold townhouse development
  • self storage facilities
  • commercial office buildings.
  • retail plazas

Klancy is a member of The Canadian Institute of Quantity Surveyors. (PQS)

We are looking for energetic professionals to work within our growing team at the following levels:


You will have relevant industry experience, excellent communication and management skills and hold or be actively working towards RICS and CIQS qualifications. You will be a key point of contact for several Client accounts, preparing and negotiating proposals for new clients and supervising junior staff. Must be technically proficient with Excel, Word, MS Project.
